Dear Gretchen and Alan,

Sue and I want to thank you for making 2009 a highly successful and exciting year for us and we wish you continuing health, happiness, and prosperity this year!

As you know we put our Santaluz house on the market mid-year in a very poor market and fully expected it would be 2010 before we could get the price we wanted.  That last thing we anticipated was that it would sell and close 2 ½ months later - but you personally made that happen!  And if that wasn´t enough, we again did not expect to find and buy another house in San Diego in 2009, but you managed to find one perfect us and we are now settled in and enjoying it very much!

Frankly, Gretchen, I knew from my first meeting with you, that you knew exactly what needed to be done to sell our house in Santaluz and I also knew that I could never find a better residential real estate professional than you.  That´s a lot said, considering that during my working career, I lead the real estate strategies and activities for Abbott Laboratories for many years and then did the same for Gateway, Inc. until my retirement.  I´ve worked with a lot of real estate professionals, commercial and residential, but NONE as professional and knowledgeable as you.  And with Alan as the other half of the Pagnotta team, what more could a prospective seller or buyer wish for!  If it is ever helpful, please don´t hesitate to use me or this letter as a personal and professional reference.

Lastly, and most importantly, I consider Alan and you as caring and trusted friends.  I have lost contact, and even forgotten the names of most of the real estate professionals I have worked with over the past 40 years, but you two are very special to me.  I hope one of these summers, your very busy schedules will allow you time to spend a week or two with Sue and me at our log home in Wyoming ? please consider this an OPEN invitation!

We recently worked with Gretchen and Alan on both purchasing our new home and selling our previous home.  On the buying side, Gretchen met with us on several occasions and spent time to figure out exactly what floor plans and locations would work well for us.  She kept us up to date regularly on new homes that became available or changes to existing listings that were of interest.  Once we identified the property that we wanted to buy, Gretchen and Alan negotiated well on our behalf, reaching a good end price and with a few extras thrown in.

 Once we moved to our new home, the Pagnottas helped us sell our previous home.  Alan and Gretchen spend a lot of time looking the property over and identifying opportunities for us to improve things and aide us to sell the property quickly.  They showed the property very often and in the end were able to collect several offers for us.

 In short, Gretchen and Alan have the knowledge and put in a great effort to get us moved into the right home, and then to sell our old home quickly under difficult market conditions.  My wife and I would be very happy to use Gretchen and Alan again.
