Alan Pagnotta has an extensive educational and work background that enables him to help clients define their goals and needs and develop the strategies to accomplish these.  He is a graduate of St Lawrence University in Canton, New York (B.S. Mathematics), Rensselear Polytechnic Institute (M.S. Mathematics) and a PhD candidate (Economics) at UCSD. Alan continues to take course-work relating to real estate and has specialized in real estate investment analysis.  He is able to council clients concerning whether a property has a reasonable return on investment and therefore an alternative to equities.

Alan was originally licensed as a real estate agent in 1977.  At that time he was a Navy Lieutenant stationed at Miramar.  He assisted his wife Gretchen and together they sold in Rancho Penasquitos and became known as the Penasquitos Pros.  From there they branched into Poway, Rancho Bernardo and other North County communities.  Alan stayed in the Navy Reserves and eventually retired as a Navy Captain.  He enjoys working with military families relating to their special needs and concerns.

Alan has had a 27-year career in high-tech industry.  Working for Sunward Technology (co-founder), Conner Peripherals, Seagate Technologies, Fujitsu Computer Products of America and Sony Electronics, Alan has held numerous executive level positions and managed world-wide organizations.  Throughout his career he has managed Operations, Quality, Sales and Marketing. This background has provided him with a keen understanding of how to build a viable business, including our real-estate business.

He earned his Brokers License in November 2007 and is actively involved in the daily operations of marketing listings, negotiating contracts, coordinating contractors on repair issues and assisting buyers with the best values in the market. Alan is active in the community and has made a commitment to Casa de Amparo, a non profit organization that provides emergency shelter and counseling for abused children.  He is an executive board member, and Vice Chair for Casa de Amparo.
